What does Biossance Squalane do?
You might have heard about Squalane oil and been curious when and why should you use it. And what makes Biossance oil so different than others?
What does squalane oil do?
It replenishes and helps maintain hydration to your skin, calms irritation and also leave your skin feeling soft. The cool thing is, it is good for both dry and oily skin. Because while it helps strengthen the skin’s barrier it also controls oil.
How can it be used?
There are many ways to use it.
- Add a few drops to your moisturizer, both face and body cream.
- Apply it before or after your serum and moisturizer both AM and PM.
- Add a couple drops to your foundation.
- Apply to cuticles to help moisturize skin around your nails.
- Use it in a bath.
- Use as a massage oil.
- Tame flyaways. I love, as I always seem to have a couple pieces of hair that want to stick straight out!
- Can help reduce the appearance of Eczema
- Extends the life of your self-tanner. Use a few pumps after your first post-tan shower and every time after that to help the glow last longer.
If I have done my skincare in the morning and not applying makeup until later on, I apply to my face and let it soak in while I start my eye makeup. Then apply my face makeup. I have dry skin so this really helps my foundation look better.
What makes Biossance different?
Their squalane is sugarcane derived. A lot of brands get their vegan squalane from olives. The benefits of using sugarcane over olives is in the production method. And the brands that are not using vegan squalane and actually sourcing it from shark livers. About 3,000 shark livers are required to make one ton of squalane.
